Let's meet on 26 April 2024 in Mendrisio.

We are happy to invite you to the Bachelor Info Day of the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio.

It is a unique opportunity to discover our academy, meet teachers and students, visit our laboratories and learn about our training offer. You will have the opportunity to participate in the presentation of the curriculum, as well as to explore our academic spaces and modern equipment.

The Bachelor Info Day allows you to get to know the Bachelor programme of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and to meet some of the current students to have a direct testimony of the study experience. The next appointment is on 26 April 2024 on the Mendrisio campus.

A certificate of attendance will be sent via email at the end of the event.

The Bachelor Info Day will take place on 26 April 2024 in the morning. We are waiting for you starting from 9:45 for the check-in.

Studying at the Academy

Architect based in London, he received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, where he studied under the main guidance of Mario Botta and Peter Zumthor. He has gained international experience in Italy, Japan, Switzerland, United States and United Kingdom. From 2012 to 2014 he worked at Richard Meier & Partners in New York City. His most notable involvement was with the Reforma Towers, an over 1 million square feet mixed use office and hotel complex in downtown Mexico City. In 2015 he joined Foster + Partners in London. Furthermore, he has also been part of the team designing the next generation of Apple Global Flagship Store, developing an innovative carbon fiber roof.

The Mendrisio campus

The Academy’s location in a setting close to yet outside the metropolitan areas facilitates student life, while the young people have easy access to the nearby cities. The various buildings on the Mendrisio campus are laid out around the park, Villa Argentina (with the faculty board and offices), Palazzo Canavée and Palazzo Turconi (teaching facilities) and the Library.

Where to find us

The event will take place at the Academy of Architecture which is based in Mendrisio. 

We will be waiting for you in the entrance hall of Palazzo Canavèe. The exact address is via Buffi 5, Mendrisio (Switzerland).

Parking is very limited in the area, so we recommend using public transportation.

The Academy can be reached by foot in 7 minutes from Mendrisio FFS Station. Alternatively, you can take the bus Line 502 from the Mendrisio FFS station and get off at the stop "Ospedale". The timetable of the bus is available here.
