AI Excellence: Forge the Future of Innovation at USI

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere, and it is is one of the most popular areas in computer science and engineering. AI deals with intelligent behaviour, learning, and adaptation in machines, robots, and body-less computer programs. Big players such as Google, Amazon, Baidu, Microsoft etc. are investing billions in AI, and the AI-related job market is growing extremely rapidly.

In this exciting context, the master’s program in Artificial Intelligence at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano merges the competences of the Faculty of Informatics with those of the Swiss AI Lab IDSIA, Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence, one of the world's leading research institutes in this field.

The program is two years long and has a strong focus on the theory and the practical applications of AI in various fields, including robotics, computer vision, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers in AI research, development, and application in various industries, including healthcare, finance, and technology.

The curriculum is designed for students who want to gain expertise in AI techniques and their applications in different industries. The program also offers opportunities for research and development projects, allowing students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world problems.
