It is organised in six faculties and is active in several study and research areas. USI is a young and lively university, a hub of opportunity open to the world where students are offered a quality interdisciplinary education in which they can be fully engaged and take centre stage, and where our researchers can count on having the space to freely pursue their initiative.
Why study Architecture in Mendrisio?
An architectural faculty which boasts an innovative, interdisciplinary, humanistic and generalist teaching method. Seeking to counteract the fragmentation of knowledge threatened by over-specialisation, the Academy of Architecture will ensure that the future architects will acquire skills based on an open and critical approach, ranging from various types of architectural design to urban planning and landscapes, from the rethinking of historical heritage to developing sustainable designs.
